AMICA Library is a free collection of over 100,000 digital images of works of art held in museums. These works span the history of Western and non-Western art and include examples from a variety of media, such as paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, photographs, textiles, costumes, jewelry, decorative art, and manuscripts. For each work of art, in addition to the digital image, AMICA contains full citation information, including artist, title, date, materials and techniques used, dimensions, the institution that owns the work, and for some works, a supplementary narrative.
AMICA includes works of art held by a wide range of institutions, including the Asia Society, the Library of Congress, the Louisiana State museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and many others.
