Big Ten Open Books is a collection of Open Access ebooks published by several university presses in the Big Ten Academic Alliance (BTAA). The collection launches with 100 titles in the area of gender & sexuality studies. Additional books in a variety of subject areas will be added to the platform in the future.
The libraries of the BTAA, including Rutgers University Libraries, provided the funding to create the platform and make the ebooks Open Access. BTAA publishers with ebooks in this program include Indiana University Press, Michigan State University Press, Northwestern University Press, Purdue University Press, University of Michigan Press, and University of Wisconsin Press.
