Description

DRAM is a collection of over 4,000 digitized albums of American music, featuring CD-quality streaming audio and complete original liner notes and essays. The collection focuses on important recordings of American music that are hard to find commercially.

The heart of the collection is the full catalog of the New World Records and Composers Recordings, Inc. (CRI) labels. These labels focus on music of the Americas and include a wide variety of genres, such as classical, contemporary, electronic, folk, jazz, musical theatre, Native American, and opera. DRAM also includes music from many other labels and archives, including Albany, innova, Cedille, XI, Pogus, Deep Listening and Mutable Music. These labels primarily focus on American music, but some music from outside the Americas is also included. New recordings and new labels are added to DRAM over time.

For most albums, the full album may be streamed, but for some albums, DRAM has not obtained full streaming rights, so only previews are available for some tracks.
