Elizabeth York is the Electronic Resources Librarian at Rutgers University Libraries. She manages activation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of all purchased and subscribed electronic resources, including (but not limited to) ejournals, ebooks, databases, and streaming media. She is deeply knowledgeable in all aspects of electronic resources management in Alma/Primo, and she has developed and implemented workflows for e-resources post-migration cleanup, ordering, activation, configuration, metadata loading, usage statistics management, perpetual access data management, cancellation, EBA management, and more. She previously held Electronic Resources Librarian and Cataloging positions at Utah State University and University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma.
She serves as Co-Chair of the Ex Libris Community Zone Management Group (CZMG) and is an active contributor to Ex Libris product listservs. She has suggested and advocated for many successful improvements in e-resources functionality in Ex Libris products, and she collaborated with Ex Libris on the proof-of-concept project to enrich Community Zone ebook bibliographic records with AI-generated metadata.
She is Rutgers University's Electronic Resources Officer (ERO) in the Big Ten Academic Alliance (BTAA). She also serves on the BTAA E-Resource Accessibility Group and the BTAA Resource Access Policy Harmonization Team. She has also served on the New Jersey State Library's E-Resources Advisory Committee, helping the State Library make decisions about the statewide e-resources subscriptions offered to all residents of the state of New Jersey.
