CQ Researcher
CQ Researcher contains weekly research reports on recent news topics and issues of broad interest in the public policy sphere. Reports address a wide variety of subjects, including health, social trends, criminal justice, international affairs, education, the environment, technology, and the economy. Each report is researched and written by a seasoned journalist, footnoted, and professionally fact checked.
This collection is the electronic counterpart and continuation of the print publication CQ Researcher. It includes digital versions of all content published in the print version of CQ Researcher and its predecessor publications, Congressional Quarterly's Editorial Research Reports (1987-1991) and Editorial Research Reports (1923-1986).
While recently published CQ Researcher reports can help you understand current events and issues, the historical reports provide an perspective of how events and issues were understood in the past. Some historical reports may use outdated terminology and may contain perspectives that are now understood to be biased or offensive. In order to preserve the primary-source nature of these reports and truthfully represent the historical times in which they were written, CQ Researcher decided to leave the original language of these older reports unchanged.
