AM Research Skills includes hundreds of videos, essays, case studies, and practice sources which introduce the key methods and approaches that scholars take when working with historical material. It is designed for students who are evaluating primary sources for the first time. This platform is built by AM (Adam Matthew) and is intended to help beginning researchers build the skills they will need to work with AM primary source databases (and other primary source collections) successfully. Rutgers has access to two modules on this platform: 

  • Research Skills Foundations
  • Interrogating Colonial Documents and Narratives

The primary source materials on this platform were selected from AM primary source collections in consultation with a wide range of scholars. They are intended to include the most important source types and research themes in the humanities and social sciences.
