Dance in Video

Dance in Video is a collection of over 1200 dance productions, documentaries, interviews, and instructional videos by the most influential performers and companies of the 20th and 21st centuries. Videos include modern dance, ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, experimental, and improvisational dance.

A searchable transcript accompanies each video. Index terms are assigned to each video to aid in searching. The Alexander Street video platform offers the ability to create playlists, create video clips, permalink to videos, and embed videos in course management systems. Dance in Video can also be cross-searched with other Alexander Street music resources through the Music Online interface.

Rutgers has access to Dance in Video Volumes 1 & 2. Rutgers does not have access to any other volumes in this collection.
