ProQuest hosts the database Early English Books Online, which contains digital images of over 125,000 English works published from 1473-1700. University of Michigan, University of Oxford, and other libraries around the world worked together to create full-text transcriptions of over 60,000 of these works. These 60,000 transcriptions are fully incorporated into the Early English Books Online database hosted by ProQuest. However, they also may be searched and viewed separately as structured SGML/XML in this EEBO-TCP database, which is hosted by University of Michigan.
A wide variety of materials can be found in this collection, including books, pamphlets, periodicals, newspapers, letters, public documents, almanacs and calendars, and other primary sources.
