SPIE Digital Library is an extensive collection of optics and photonics resources. In SPIE Digital Library, Rutgers University Libraries has access to all SPIE journals and conference proceedings published from 1962 to the present, totaling more than 500,000 technical papers. SPIE content spans a number of technology areas. Major classifications include:

Though SPIE endeavors to provide access to all of its conference proceedings through SPIE Digital Library, some proceedings volumes are not available in SPIE Digital Library due to conference cancellation or lack of electronic publishing rights.

The SPIE Digital Library platform also includes ebooks. Rutgers has access to all ebooks published through 2024.
