ProQuest’s Alexander Street service—which provides curated, discipline-focused, primary-source collections, websites, and streaming media for learning and research—has now been integrated into the Canvas learning management system.

The collections deliver previously unavailable content in ways that further research and learning. By using the Canvas integration for Alexander Street, instructors may quickly search and embed content while observing copyright. Alexander Street delivers over 70,000 titles spanning the widest range of subject areas including anthropology, business, counseling, film, health, history, music, and more.

Alexander Street content may be added to a Rutgers Canvas course site as an:

  • External Tool in Canvas Modules
  • External Tool on a Canvas Page
  • External Tool Canvas Assignment (Grade passback based on viewing does not occur.)

The Alexander Street enterprise license and integration is provided by Rutgers University Libraries.
