Database Spotlight: PsyArXiv
Universitywide
This week we will be featuring PsyArXiv!
PsyArXiv is a free archive of preprints, working manuscripts, and postprints in the psychological sciences. PsyArXiv does not perform peer review. Instead, it uses a basic moderation process to remove spam and to ensure submissions are relevant to psychology.
Authors may submit preprint articles to PsyArXiv prior to, or simultaneously with, submission to a journal. PsyArXiv thus allows authors to make their findings immediately available to the scientific community without undergoing the peer review process. This makes PsyArXiv a useful source for finding new research, but it is important to remember that preprint articles have not been peer reviewed, nor have they undergone the editing that journal articles receive.
