British Library Newspapers is acollection of digitized historical newspapers originally published in England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. It includes newspapers of national, regional, and local interest, as well as papers that catered to various political factions. Each issue has been fully digitized and indexed, including all articles, illustrations, fictional stories, and advertisements.
On this platform, Rutgers has access to British Library Newspapers, Part I: 1800-1900. These newspapers were selected for their significance by an editorial board from the British Library and digitized from the British Library’s microfilm holdings. Rutgers does not have access to any other parts of this collection.
