Systematic Review and Scoping Review Services

Our library experts offer a free systematic and scoping review service for Rutgers University faculty, fellows, residents, students, and staff. The health sciences librarians are available to partner with you as you begin this considerable process. When our staffing and capacity permit, we provide two levels of service: consultation and collaboration. Currently, we support consultation services for any new projects.

Consultation

Consultations are available for both faculty projects and students-initiated projects or capstones. Librarians consult, guide, and instruct on the project. Any resulting projects or publications must acknowledge the librarian who assisted.

Collaboration

Librarians can collaborate on faculty projects. They serve on the study team to design the search strategy, execute searches in appropriate databases, and compile a flow diagram of the selection process using data provided by the research team. The librarians contribute to the Methods section by writing and describing the search processes executed for the review. Co-authorship is required.

Please visit the visit the Systematic Reviews in the Health Sciences research guide for detailed information about preparing for the systematic and scoping review process.

If you have any question regarding how to request for systematic or scoping review service, please email rbhs_librarians@libraries.rutgers.edu.  We look forward to working with you.
