Policy and guidelines governing access to university records.
Since the mid-1990s the University Archives has maintained a formal records management program. However, in 2013, records management responsibilities were transferred out of the University Archives to Business and Administrative Services (Office of Institutional Planning and Operations). The Records Management Program and University Archives are inter-related operations. Records management is the systematic control of recorded information from creation or receipt, through processing and use, until final disposition. Final disposition will be through destruction or transfer into the University Archives. Proper records management satisfies compliance with laws and regulations, and ensures that historically significant records are properly preserved.
