International Medieval Bibliography
A new interface is coming for International Medieval Bibliography (IMB). After accessing the database, click the "Discover Our New & Enhanced Interface" box in the right sidebar to try the new interface.
The International Medieval Bibliography (IMB) is a comprehensive index of scholarship in medieval studies. All subjects relating to the Middle Ages are included, within the date range of 400-1500 AD. Geographical areas covered are Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. IMB indexes articles published in journals, miscellany volumes (conference proceedings, collected essays, Festschriften and exhibition catalogues), and scholarly books. This database also allows cross-searching with Bibliographie de Civilisation Médiévale (BCM), a bibliography of books on medieval civilization. Both indexes are regularly updated with records for new publications. A variety of search options are available, including author, title, journal or series title, language year of publication, publication type, academic discipline, geographic area, century covered, subject, and more.
IMB was previously published in print and on CD-ROM; this database is its electronic counterpart and continuation.
Rutgers does not have access to the International Bibliography of Humanism and the Renaissance on this platform. Also, please note that some IMB and BCM records include links to Brepols reference sources that Rutgers cannot access.
Indexing for publications from 1967 - present covering medieval history from 400-1500.
