Medieval Travel Writing is a collection of digitized primary source manuscripts describing real and fictitious travel in the Middle Ages, with accompanying secondary sources. The main geographic focus is the Holy Land, India, and China. Material types include manuscripts, printed books, illustrations, and maps. A variety of languages are represented, but the majority of documents are in English, French, and Latin. Additional features include scholarly essays, brief biographies of travelers, a chronology, slide show, and a substantial bibliography.
