Wayne Winborne, Executive Director, holds degrees from both Stanford University and New York University, has worked with artists and musicians, co-produced jazz recordings, taught Jazz History and Appreciation as an undergraduate at Stanford, serves on the Board of the Brooklyn Philharmonic, served at the Vice President level at Prudential Financial, along with other positions in business programs and policy research. He has numerous publications and conference presentations while serving on the boards of several local and national non-profit organizations.
Vincent Pelote, Senior Archivist and Digital Preservation Strategist, holds a B.A. in Music Education and a M.L.S. from Rutgers. He has published several discographies, including one on Lionel Hampton in the vibraphonist's autobiography. He is active in the Music Library Association and in the Association of Recorded Sound Collections, where he has served as President.
Diane Biunno, Metadata Archivist, is a graduate of Rutgers University with a B.A. in Italian, Rutgers University with a Ph.D. in Medieval Italian Literature, and Drexel University with an M.S. in Library and Information Studies with a concentration in digital libraries and archival studies.
Elizabeth Surles, Archivist, holds an M.A. in Musicology and an M.S. in Library and Information Science with a Certificate in Special Collections from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Previously she worked at the American Alpine Club Library first as Digitization Archivist and then Library Director. She also served as Project Coordinator at the Starr-Gennett Foundation after earning her B.A. in Music and History cum laude from Lawrence University. She has published on musicians ranging from May Irwin to Jurassic Five to Mamie Smith and enjoys singing trad jazz.
